Idle Motion's sister company present their Edinburgh Fringe debut
Today is the day I make a decision. Today is the day I run. And you. You shut up!
Meet Maddy, a typical millennial, bad a life admin and celebrating her 30th birthday by running a marathon - tied to a balloon. But this is more than just a race. It’s a battle. As a woman she is worn down. As a marathon runner unprepared. By the finish line she needs to have made a decision. Yes or no.
Internationally renowned Idle Motion are returning to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer with a premiere from sister company NOVAE theatre. Directed by Ellie Simpson (Assistant Director on New Diorama’s international hit ‘The Secret Life of Humans’) this is female led new work inventive in its form and astonishing in its delivery.
With writer / performer Grace Chapman set to run four marathons over the course of the Fringe, It’s Not A Sprint is a celebration of our ability to just keep going. An uproarious, 26.2 mile, one woman tour de force.
Jackdome / Pleasance Dome (Venue 23) / 3rd - 26th August (not 14th or 21st) / 1:30pm / 50 minutes
